Bike lane has sign posts in the middle of bike lane in 2 separate sections. This is a complete hazard if anyone not focused could easily cycle straight into them. I have used this bike lane in the dark at these posts are not lit up.

The cycle lane through Fairview park towards Annesley Bridge ends at a break in the fence and crosses the footpath and onto the road. There is often some congestion here as cyclists who stay on the road side cycle lane are also seeking to merge with traffic. However, this morning I noticed a visually impaired person walking along with their cymbal cane, I stopped to ensure they passed the gap in the fence safely, however, I noticed there were no road marking or other indicators to alert him to the potential danger of cycle traffic emerging from the park. A less considerate or observant cyclist could have collided directly with the visually impaired person. I think this record should be a priority Tuesday, October 10, 2017 - 07:05 |

Very Very poorly designed bike lane here.
Bikes should be able to mount the pavement at the bridge and be able to cycle out bound without have to cross the road subsequently. This section is a death trap. The bike lane surface is covered in some kind of a red asphalt covering, which has flaked and broken away making the surface very bumpy and uneven. If the objective is to visually differentiate from the adjacent footpath, then why not just apply a durable paint of some kind?
